Stopping and restarting the stream fails about libcamera HOT 8 CLOSED

Start/Stop cycles now works - I still need to test the exact use case with switching cameras. Must get hold of a UVC webcam first.

I have a Logitech one (C270 I think) which I think is on my desk. I'm going to be in a little late. Please have a look, and let me know if it's not there. I'll then have a look at home.

@kbingham, I seem to have trouble with getting Dave's webcam working with libcamera. This is likely to be because qcam does not currently support the correct format conversion required for the viewfinder, and the camera is spitting out mjpeg.

Could you give this a quick try with your setup (assuming you have a working webcam)? I'm fairly confident the issue should be resolved.

Have you re-enabled the converter call (which is commented out in your branch?) otherwise indeed it likely spits out some MJPEG as binary.

I expect the switch stream to work if you can use the buttons successfully. I'm out of the office today, will test when I'm back.

Confirmed all working.

I reenabled and updated the format converter to support the RGBA format you are configuring in your pipeline, and I can successfully switch between UVC and IMX219.

(Side note, of course the performance of our format converter is realllllllly bad and drops to 10fps, but it functions).
