Is it possible to change display depth to 888? about rajawali HOT 5 CLOSED

I just tested
setEGLConfigChooser(new ConfigChooser(8, 8, 8, 0, 16, 0));
on an HTC Desire and it worked perfectly.
What device are you testing on?
I'll try some other handsets tomorrow.

I have made some more tests and its getting a bit interesting.

On my HTC Wildfire S ConfigChooser(8, 8, 8, 0, 16, 0) works (I did not know this since I had not tested it on this device before)

On my Motorola Xoom tablet ConfigChooser(8, 8, 8, 0, 16, 0) does not work but the debug printConfigs tells me that it does not have this mode anyways. It does have ConfigChooser(8, 8, 8, 8, 16, 0) and that works.

On my Samsung Galaxy S ConfigChooser(8, 8, 8, 0, 16, 0) does not work but it does not have this mode according to printConfigs. However printConfigs reports that it has a bunch of modes such as 888,8,0,0 - 888,8,24,8 - 888,0,24,8 etc and none of these work, they all result in a crash. Any ideas?

Have you tried ConfigChooser(8, 8, 8, 8, 16, 0)?
8 for the alpha channel instead of 0?

I've tested the latter on a bunch of devices and I've encountered no problems.

Thank you, I should have tried this sooner but tried it now and it does appear to work on my galaxy s. A bit weird since this mode does not show up in the debug print, but whatever as long as it works.
