I made a local copy of the tasks minus the :environment portion which seemed to work for me (the -e version was not working due to bundler vs system pg gem conflicts). This got me past the starting point, but I noticed that count doesn't output anything, perhaps it should have a puts or something like that?
I'm happy to make these changes and submit a pull request, I just am quite new to the project so I don't feel confident doing so without a little guidance or at least a nod that I'm not just doing something silly on my end. Thanks!

I was also put off and filed this earlier #14, but I guess nothing really happend with it. I have discussed this project a lot with @ryandotsmith and can say that a simple request to improve the bootstrapping is certainly welcomed. With the caveat being that it doesn't make it 'easier' at the cost of complexity or a dependency.
