A simple way is to wrap the igraph_simplify function. Then call the
graph.barabasi_game(10000,3).simplify()

If an extra function is required, then the name of function is a problem.

Simplifying the result will modify the degree distribution.

Yes, the mean degree is a bit low. But we cannot write codes for these function.
