one_of_{atoms,strings}/2 parsers of #13 could be used for that (for instance: field :some_field, {:one_of_atoms, [nil]})

This is a good idea.

Rather than both a one_of_atoms/2, one_of_strings/2, etc. it might make more sense to provide:

  • one_of_constants/2 that accepts a list of constants to use and accepts exactly those as values.
  • one_of/2 that accepts a list of other parsers, and accepts the sum of what those parsers accept. (like {:one_of, [:integer, string]}.

What do you think?

EDIT: This is of course in line with what we discussed before (c.f. #9 ) (it's a bit late here right now 😴 ), but maybe this alternate syntax might work better with how Specify currently allows parsers to be written.
