So by entering the following when using KikuchiPy, both ours, HyperSpy's and any other package we use that uses logging will get passed to stdout
:
import logging
import kikuchipy as kp
logging.getLogger('kikuchipy').setLevel(logging.DEBUG)
# Load data, do processing etc...
We should, whenever we need to know what KikuchiPy is doing or it is convenient when debugging, use the following in the code:
import logging
_logger = logging.getLogger(__name__) # __name__ gives package/module
from kikuchipy.
Much relevant information from an indexing or refinement run is lost when returning only a crystal map. The best way to store this would be to write it to some easily readable file. However, maintaining IO is challenging. An alternative is to use logging for such information, so that people who want to keep this information can at least look in the log to find it.
