After looking at this, the main pb beside this 'as' syntax and a few with_statement future import missing is the usage of 2.6 string.format method. Is anyone aware of a 2.5 implementation of this ?

Python 2.5 support was restored with the pull request https://bitbucket.org/logilab/pylint/pull-request/94/50-pylint-does-not-work-with-python-25/diff.
