@gsakkis thanks for the patch. You've probably noticed 1) is fixed. I'll probably integrate your patch at some point but need some time to check it doesn't cause pb in our continuous integration chain and all.

It's important that pip can correctly install these packages, as it's quickly becoming the standard package-management tool for python.
