Tenko has no special ES5 mode.
It should be fine except for the incompatibilities between ES5 and ES6 (like function statements and duplicate object keys), arguably stuff you shouldn't be using to begin with. And probably aren't.
(ES5 is mostly a subset of ES6+. You can read this section for very specific set of incompatibilities. These are mainly about runtime changes. Tenko only cares about syntax so if you don't use any syntax elements from that list then Tenko should be fine to use.)
