I found a workaround, it works with :
jsonProperty("metrics", jsonArray(jsonArray(List.of(
"AWS/EC2",
"CPUUtilization",
"InstanceId",
"i-012345"
)))),

Hi Theo! I'm glad you found a workaround! 👏🏻
I'm sorry you're finding the documentation buggy. I'm going to transfer this issue to pulumi-aws
since it appears to e specific to the AWS provider.

Hi @TheoCadoret and thank you for bringing this bug in our documentation to our attention. We understand the frustration that arises when the provided examples do not produce correct and runnable code.
Rest assured, we take the quality of our documentation seriously, and we are committed to improving it. While I may not be extensively familiar with Java myself, it seems that the issue lies in the process of auto-generating examples for our language SDKs as I was able to successfully run the example Typescript code.
As next steps, we will thoroughly investigate how we convert the upstream examples into Java and work towards implementing a fix.
