Thanks @martinholmer! This indeed seems like an easy-to-do improvement.
Originally I didn't do any average by income group or age group and just plot the raw benefit by income. The resulting plot was too jagged to be considered as proper by Dan. Then Dan suggested to do an average by income group, since that's the only dimension we cared at that moment, and insurance value itself is quite a vague concept.
I'll give it a go and update in this issue.
