Maybe an example menu is a good idea here... A menu with with File, Edit, Help that is used just in edit mode for presentation purposes

Should it depend on the menu mode: single-button or the full menu ?

I think for single button the fix is easy

Same philosophy applies to buttons when they are shown only on maximized windows

this is already fixed in buttons but needs Latte git version, if it is not for you, open an issue

Sorry, didn't know about that. I'm not using Latte git version, so that's why.

this is happening because in Latte v0.8.x the communication between applets and Latte is broken at some parts and can not be fixed easily. Latte git version moves that communication to the next level by fixing any issues and it is also more structured and readable...

When there is already a real menu exported and the button mode is "Show full menu...", it displays a blank space.

This is not happening in my system... does it happen with all apps?

from applet-window-appmenu.

trmdi avatar trmdi commented on July 29, 2024

I think that's because I choose "Show only menus from active applications" (other checkboxes in Filter are disabled) You should ignore these Filter options in Edit-mode, or you could always display the fake menu / icon. The real menu in that case is not important.
