Wow, that's a pretty early version and lots of bugs, including top level enums, have been fixed meanwhile. The current version is 1.0.1, it's also on NPM.

I made some changes to some of the dependencies with the result that ProtoBuf.js 1.0.2 now also tests fine on node 0.6. NPM should also grab that now instead of some ancient version. However, since travis-ci does not have node < 0.6 I have no clue if it works on that or not.
