Decoding of messages does not work - only in Node .8 about protobuf.js HOT 3 CLOSED

Documentation for Node.js version 0.10 says about Buffers:
"NOTE: Node.js v0.8 simply retained a reference to the buffer in array.buffer instead of cloning it."

This makes may be the difference between Node.js v0.8 and v0.10 and causes the troubles in ByteBuffer.js and in protobufjs?

I got it running in node.js v0.8 by modifying a function in ByteBuffer.js.

modified function: ByteBuffer.wrap = function(buffer, littleEndian) { ... }
(line 148 or so)

modified part:
// Wrap node Buffer
if (Buffer && Buffer.isBuffer(buffer)) {
buffer = new Uint8Array(buffer);
}

changed to:
// Wrap node Buffer
if (Buffer && Buffer.isBuffer(buffer)) {
buffer = toArrayBuffer(buffer); <----------------
}

whereBy "toArrayBuffer" is a new function:
function toArrayBuffer(buffer)
{
var ab = new ArrayBuffer(buffer.length);
var view = new Uint8Array(ab);
for (var i = 0; i < buffer.length; ++i) {
view[i] = buffer[i];
}
return ab;
}
