Thanks for the bug, but the problem is actually a bug updating "count" a few lines.
Oddly this code is cut-n-pasted 3 times -- it was correct for:
protobuf_c_message_descriptor_get_field_by_name
and buggy for
protobuf_c_enum_descriptor_get_value_by_name
protobuf_c_service_descriptor_get_method_by_name
Fix committed as revision 203 .
