Hello,
Thanks for your pull request. It seems like we would need to compile prometheus in pie mode. One issue is that this is not compatible with all the architectures, and we try to avoid differences between arches.
Maybe other maintainers have different opinions? cc @SuperQ @bboreham

Yes, I don't think this is something we would want to enable. Based on my quick research, since we don't use CGO in Prometheus, there's not really much use of this here.
If you have your own local requirements, it's recommended to build your own binaries for deployments from verified sources.
