I'm not sure if this is the issue but VimuxPromptCommand is a command not function so you should call it like this :VimuxPromptCommand

Yeah, sorry that's what I meant by the first bit - trying it both ways yields nothing. Vim's compiled with big, I'm running a vanilla configure of the latest tmux and vimux installed using vundle. Maybe worth mentioning that debian is running GUI-less. Not sure if that matters - shouldn't think it does.
Here's a screenshot, though I'm not certain it tells you anything that I haven't already. Sorry, I know this is pretty vague, but I'm not sure what information even would be relevant.

Hang on a sec, vim big doesn't include Ruby by default. This could be me being massively blind. Just going to reinstall and force Ruby. Hopefully that'll work and we can all have a massive laugh at how stupid I am.
