Unable to add apps to favorites from App Library about cosmic HOT 4 CLOSED

on my fresh install of Pop 21.10, I am unable to add any application from the Application Overview. I can right-click on the app to bring up the context menu, which shows the "Add to favorite" option, but it immediately closes when I select it. The application does not appear on my dock.

However, if I start the app and it shows on my dock, I can right click on the dock application icon, select "Add to Favorites" and it will persist in the dock, even after closing the app.

If it's helpful, I can post a log file, but I am not sure where this type of action / error would be logged.

@marklabrecque The issue you're describing would not be the same as this single-app issue from 20.04 LTS. It's best to open a new issue instead of piggybacking onto unrelated issues.

I'm not able to recreate either of these, so instead of closing this, I'll rename it to reflect what you're reporting and move it to the correct repository. If you hold down the mouse button slightly longer when clicking Add to Favorites, does it work? (Also, you said Add to favorite, which shouldn't be what the label says; is that actually what you're seeing, character-for-character, or are you paraphrasing?)

ok thanks @jacobgkau - Thanks for pointing this out. They did originally look related, but I see now how they could be coincidentally similar.

Now that I am trying to record steps to reproduce it, I am not seeing it, but if it shows up again, I will create a fresh ticket.
