Update: When I pass in the --siteslist parameter, it works. So I guess we have too many sites.

As I want to run it on all sites, I've followed the docs to generate the TXT file with all sites as per here. That works.

The error is still very cryptic though.

This seems like a common issue. I would recommend the following changes be made:

1. Catch this error and provide a better explanation about what is really going on.
2. Update documentation to provide some more real description about what you should do if you have over 500 sites.

I ran into the same issue and am still trying to figure out the right thing to do to make it work.

@EddieDL : were you also use interactive auth? Depending on the auth model and whether you're a tenant admin or not different site enumeration models are used. I'll try to reproduce and fix.
