API about node-supervisor HOT 4 OPEN

Do you have a specific use case in mind for the API? It'll help me if I have some sense of how people would want to use an API if one existed.

Eg.

I wanna restart my express server and then run my tests each time I save a file.

If there was an API for it I could programatically run whatever I want when there is a file change somewhere within my project folder.

Perhaps just something basic like:

supervisor.on('fileChange', function () {...});
supervisor.on('newFile', function () {...});

etc.

I'm glad you gave that example because it's not what I would have guessed, but it sounds very cool. I'll definitely keep it in mind.

My goal for [email protected] is to refactor it away from the big imperative block that it is now, into more modular & testable components. So that would be an ideal time to add an API. I can't give you a timeline on that, though - I've been pretty busy lately.
