Hm. It'd probably be easier to get Forever to kill on file changes. Then supervisor could just go away.

i see. thanks bro. maybe i'll ping the forever guys. i'd really love to switch to this push/auto-update model since my site is a simple git repo. nothing more awesome than being able to git push — auto-restart process.
