Can you get other Cordova plugins to work in your project? If not, you probably need to start with a Cordova tutorial.

The iOS CoreLocation API (on which this plugin and the Android library are based) require you to listen for a specific beacon region. That can be just the UUID or you can be more and more specific with major and minor values as well. Generally a beacon should be a unique set of UUID, major and minor for your app.

So to find your beacon you need to at least put the UUID for the beacon into the BeaconRegion you pass to StartMonitoring... or StartRanging... . You then listen to the library responses in the Delegate callback functions as the example shows.

You should verify your beacon is working (I had one that died recently) with one of the beacon test apps from the manufactures I use the ones from Radius and Kontakt on iOS and Android. Unless you use one actually from your iBeacon manufacturer there is a high chance you will have to add the UUID into their app to check it's working
