Yes, binary releases are going to happen, after the Web UI is finalized (a few months?).
Will have to give repology a look.

Also if I strip the binary some of the commands disappear?

Not nightly yet.
And if you strip you loose the zip scripts appended to the binary. You can strip using (from build dir):
cp jsish jsish2
strip jsish2
./jsish -z create jsish2 zipdir lib
Probably could add a build option STRIP_BIN=1 to Makefile
from jsish.
