Great questions.
What is current status of integration with Postgres?
The integration currently works for current needs however could use some performance improvements. This is namely true with write as PostgreSQL protocol requires grouping of 10,000's which is currently handled via base10 conversion to string followed by chunking. That being said, I'd like to see some more extremity testing around this feature before stabalization.
Another test that needs confirming is when scale and precision is provided on PostgreSQL and ensuring that the Decimal library correctly supports these. Tests are currently using the unlimited numeric type.
Is there any documentation about this feature?
Not yet. So long as the feature is in scope then the Postgres library implicity looks for FromSql
and ToSql
implementations. I'll create a new issue for documenting this feature as I think it could do with some.
Is there any restrictions of usage for current implementation?
There are no restrictions of usage. I'll probably look at duel licensing this library to remove confusion.

I'm going to close this and look towards #137 and #138 to track issues. Please feel free to open it up again if need be and/or generate further tasks.
