Mine is definitely still working today, not sure if I have the firmware
update. I will test more and get back to you

Hi There,

I noticed that my PI lights service is not working any more. I realized
that UDP commands are no longer recognized by WIFI link.

Can you tell me if the direct communication with LightwaveRF WIFI link
still works for some of you ?

It appears that recently there was an update of WIFI Link firmware (I got
U2.90N)

I see the latest LW Androind app still works.

I noticed that instead of MAC-like prompt for registering new UDP device
I'm getting now a question like "Register Application with options Yes, No".

The rest of UDP commands appear to be working fine (I could test it only
with dimmers) - except the UDP force registration command which appears to
have a change in syntax.

I see lots of complaints here about the firmware update

http://lightwaverfcommunity.org.uk/forums/topic/link-no-longer-responding-to-udp-commands-any-advice/page/4/#post-16098

luckily for me I don't have it yet, and don't want it but it makes it
tricky for me to debug

I had problems with UDP commands after the 2.01 upgrade and it stopped me collecting and logging power measurements. I found that the WiFi link now sends broadcast messages to 255.255.255.255. More detail is on my blog:
