2. @mttgennari has failed to show how this is related to our theme.

Are you using the latest version of Hugo? It works on the theme showcase.

I've clone it 2 day's ago, I've tried using the example in it adding in a "blog-name.md" file the tags = [] line.
In this way It doesn't work, maybe there is another way to define the tags?

Here's my Hugo version:
"Hugo Static Site Generator v0.57.2/extended linux/amd64 BuildDate: unknown"
and the examle i've done (only have change the format in order to upload it now)

Ok, my fault, now it's working
The problem was only that after I've modified the file adding the Tags, I haven't restart Hugo server

Doing this it work perfectly

I'm using theme Vanilla, i have modify only the language adding the Italian

1. It would be better if you can provide the link to your repo, say, sth like: https://github.com/mttgennari/HugoTest when asking, so that others might find out what's happening.
2. The only Hugo theme whose name matches "Vanilla" is Vanilla Bootstrap. It seems that you're using other themes, so it's better to open an issue in the theme that you're using.
3. Another platform for asking questions would be Hugo Discourse.

I haven't yet put my code online because it's only for a test, i've post here the part of the code that have problem.

With "Vanilla" i mean that i haven't modify the structure of the theme, so i'm using Future imperfect slim without any personalization
