So the error here is in the Matlab disp2sqw_plot code which assumes that the parameters are a cell array. For the Python code, the parameters pars = [35, 0] are automatically converted into vector for ease of use with other functions. They can be forced into a cell-array with pars = [[35,0]] and this will work... but is a bit unnatural for users... A better fix is to check in disp2sqw_plot if pars is a cell or not and if not to convert it to a cell.
