Yes. Please use --disable-mlogc at this moment. Also related to config.c code i already asked Greg to fix it. Just comment it now to test the nginx module like this:

The curl issue is happening because by default the build system will compile mlogc too. So it will fail if libcurl is not present because mlogc use curl.
I think this is expected right ?
You just need to use --disable-mlogc then you can build mod_security only that does not require curl.
