Actually, the issue appears to be that sometimes it takes a double-click to check the box, and other times a single click will work. Still haven't figured out how to force it to go one way or the other.

I think I experienced something similar early on, and it's probably related to react-native-web handling mouse events in a custom way. If I'm right, the click event doesn't register if you move the mouse (even 1-2 pixels) between mouse down and mouse up. If you're steady it seems to work consistently.
