Hi there,

I just took a look at el-git and from the surface it seems incompatible with Emacs Live. For example, the lazy installer wants to do a git clone of el-git and place it in ~/.emacs.d/el-git which, if you're using git to manage Emacs Live would clash.

It should be possible to get el-git working with Emacs LIve, but it would probably at least require installing it manually and also teaching it to exist in a different location (i.e. in a user-pack directory outside of ~/.emacs.d.

This feels outside of the remit of Emacs Live, so I'll close this as wontfix. However, if you do work it out and get them running together, please let me know so I can add the information to the documentation for other people wishing to get Emacs Live and el-git working together.

from emacs-live.
