I am unable to understand what you really mean by
It's difficult to give someone a link right to a method or property without that feature

Yes, but it is not possible for argument of method. Is it what you want ?

Yeah, the tags are actually there already, they just don't have anything inside them so you can't see them. I'll tweak it.

I also had a thought about allowing github style line/block selection, so you could send a link to a specific part of the reference. Good idea or bad idea?

Suppose you go to hapijs.com, then do a find for "Plugin Interface". You find the spot in the documentation you are looking for. You scroll down a few lines and see the definition for plugin.log(tags, [data, [timestamp]]). In order to give someone a link directly to that spot in the documentation, you'll have to go through the side navigation to find the anchor link to that spot in the documentation. It also won't even show up if you do another browser find because it's in a collapsed panel.

My suggestion is to make it like GitHub where the "h" tags are already anchors that can be easily copy and pasted without having to look through the side navigation.

Added anchor tags for all headers, I think block selection is a wishlist kind of feature and will be a new issue.
