I had this yesterday - I connected to AA, set a destination and it decided I would be walking, so it set a route across the fields. I was curious, so I pressed start and sure enough - it had a dotted line showing walking, not the solid driving line - I drove past the footpath through the fields that it wanted me to take, and it rerouted me further on - to another walking route to the destination.
The only thing I can think of is if I had been using OM in walking mode and then gone straight into the car (I forget)

I cannot reproduce the issue. After switching to Android Auto, the route is automatically rebuilt for the vehicle. @pabloscloud, could you please recheck? If the problem persists, kindly provide detailed steps (perhaps with coordinates) and screenshots for further investigation.
