Another solution is to remove output ports that are connected to nothing. It could be a nice solution for instantiated backends.

Yes. We should perform last tests on some backends to ensure applications known to use non-connected output ports work as expected when OutputPortRemoval is used.
Also, what do you think about adding OutputPortRemoval on transformation list for all backends which does not support it by default ?

Yes Hervé, It works well. I am using it in C and HLS Backends (for the
actor ParserSink in HevcIntraDecoder).

Antoine, yep adding it by default would be a good test before closing definitively the issue ;)

This is no longer an issue since most backends use the transformation called DisconnectedOutputPortRemoval (so it has been heavily tested).
