I think right now we require at least a PIN code (or other LSKF (Lock Screen Knowledge Factor), for example pattern) to be set.
My understanding is that this bug is about the case where there is no LSKF at all. Is that correct?

We're doing some changes right now to allow the user to create self-signed credentials and this will include a "[ ] User user authentication" checkbox and then it'll be easier to fix this.
