I was having the same issue, where it would log a connection error on startup. I tried @danylo-dubinin 's suggestion, and was still getting the same issue. I investigated it and it appears that @pennello fixed this issue on 2/20/18 as part of the 0.11.1 build.
It appears that the method uses SqlException to drive retries, but the code before was throwing an IOException, which was getting logged out.
@garnettWilson can you try updating to the newest version, and verify that your issue is fixed, and document it in this issue?
