Keep in mind too this is "real postgres" - albeit stripped down - it runs as a separate process and consumes disk space.

You could I guess, but why wouldn't you in fact use H2 or HyperSQL in these cases. They are probably more light weight.

Thks, for the reply.
I am considering using the PostgreSQL, because of the many transactions in alot of threads. But first, i am testing the H2 and HyperSQL in my IOT.
I will use this project in the future unit tests, the idea is really great.

sqlite could be another option to consider

I tested the sqlite, but I got alot of problems with locks. I think the sqlite feats better in an IOT that does not need many concurrency
