This is documented in the supportconfig man page. Basically runs whatever executable is placed there.

The SAP plugin is just one example. Others are:

thx. I was not even aware that the project has a manpage.

Nowdays lot of project don't use manpages anymore. So imho we could perhaps state that there is a manpage in the readme

Sorry for the delay. I got side tracked. Here is my first draft of the documentation. Please review it and let me know if you have any questions or suggestions for improvement.

Thanks mate! Given that 389 is mainly python and I want to interact with the python libraries we have, do you see any issues with me making the file /usr/lib/supportconfig/plugins/dirsrv python3 provided I keep the same headers and behaviour as the shell plugins? IE using the $LOG env variable for output paths.
