Typically I gather the last 500 lines, unless the the -l is specified. This file is quite big on my system. The nature of the file seems to suggest we should get the entire file, but the size suggest we should get the last 500 lines unless we really need to troubleshoot more; in which case rerunning supportconfig -l would gather more. What do you think?

Oh sorry, I wasn't aware that we already collect the file. I was told otherwise and didn't check, my bad.
I think the file is big because it logs all updates as well. For my purpose I am interested in explicit installs and explicit uninstalls only. We might have to process the file to gather that information. And maybe zypper has it's own logic for determining that built in. Will search for that.

I don't get that file. I can get it, but I'm trying to decide if I include the whole thing or just the last 500 lines to start with. I think I will include the last 500 lines, which is the default for all other files.

ah okay. 500 lines should be perfect. thank you!
