Well somebody needs to test it in various versions of IE then ;-)

I've made this change on http://tomh.apis.dev.openstreetmap.org/ to help with testing.

I have tested on linux with Firefox 15, Chromium 20 and Opera 12.01 and on Windows with IE 8, Firefox 15, Chrome 21, Opera 12.01 and Safari 5.1.2 and it works almost everywhere... Except IE 8 of course ;-)

I'm getting an "Object doesn't support this property or method" error from the javascript which I'll have to investigate.

The problem is not actually related to the DOCTYPE change, it's that i18n-js is using Array.forEach which IE doesn't support until v9 - see fnando/i18n-js#97 for details...

With that fixed things look OK in IE8 as well - the map is sized correctly and adjusts correctly on sidebar open/close and vectors are displayed on the map.

Anybody able to test in IE7/9?

On Windows 8 it works fine in Chrome 21, FF 15 and IE10 except history and
browse map data have no data, but expand and collapse is working (i assume
that getting the actual data is not enabled on you test server).

There's some data at http://tomh.apis.dev.openstreetmap.org/go/euvr~xaPy- for testing history etc.

IE7: http://tomh.apis.dev.openstreetmap.org/ and http://www.openstreetmap.org/ seem to function / display identically.

An existing issue on IE7 is that the map div height collapses on both. Opening the search results frame while PL2 is open temporarily fixes the issue.

Then that also works :)

Sounds like there is no problem then, so I have merged this.
