Use OKFN css styles (e.g. make it more like okfn.org) about opendatasurvey HOT 4 CLOSED

Obviously the screenshot in the banner would need to be replaced with one that is a bit more meaningful.

This already looks a lot nicer than what I have. Right now the data catalogs are quite prominent, since they have their own button up top. I'd remove this. As for the screenshot - yes a final screen shot goes there well. We could also have some sort of interactive bar chart there - e.q. select number of datasets or number of open key datasets and get the 10 top countries. something like this.

I think its good to use the banner to give an immediate idea of what the site can do. The bar chart could work, if we thinking it is more compelling than the map. Alternatively, it could just be added to the sub pages. To give the the census information an equal billing, we could have more than one banner, which could rotate.

I do like the banner. Having two might work. However I think the landing page should already provide some information on the general situation of open gov data in the world... I'll think about how we can achieve this goal.
