Cant customize zoom on default map field output about google-maps-for-craft HOT 5 CLOSED

Ok, so the issue is that Google Maps for Craft by default sets the bounds to fit all the markers on the map. So if it's just a single marker, then the result is the maxed zoom state. You can definitely override this like so....

{{ craft.googleMaps.data('map', entry.yourMapField, { fitBounds: false }) }}

hmm yea that works, the only problem with that is that it doesnt center it anymore either, so i had to add an additional

  {% set address = entry.street~' '~entry.city~', '~entry.state~' '~ entry.zip %}
  {{ craft.googleMaps.center('map', address) }}

is there any halfway where it can take the marker data (lat/long) from the map but not the zoom level?

or like i mentioned before maybe theres some way have a default "fitBounds" zoom level?

You can manually set the map center from the marker coordinates like so:

{% set markers = entry.yourMapField.markers() %}
{% set lat = markers[0].lat %}
{% set lng = markers[0].lng %}

{{ craft.googleMaps.center('map', lat, lng) }}
