Also just noticed that if you have track change enabled, and write some text at the end of a paragraph (which creates an "ins"-change), the space key won't insert spaces.

With track changes off, ice tags are handled similarly to the way typing in a bold or a tag is handled. At NYT, we don't allow users to turn on/off tracking. Instead, we use a complex workflow which start with track changes off for the first user, then automatically turn on change tracking for subsequent users. We also recommend the ice_toggleshowchanges tinymce button which will show/hide track changes.

The behavior that you are after would be a big addition to ice, as it would involve breaking up change tags, and it is definitely not a priority.

Let me know if you questions about our workflow at the NYT.

The unfortunate thing is that also when turned on, a delete or insert will continue when hiting Enter (creating a new paragraph). The way I solved this was when someone starts writing on an empty insert paragraph, to first clean it completely before adding new contents.
