Ya, didn't add this on purpose as I agree it is worthy of discussion. My impression is that people don't know this is occurring, though maybe that's a good thing. But I tend to see people enumerate common misspellings which makes sense as figuring out the edit distance themselves to see if it would catch something seems unreasonable.

I would probably argue towards removing it, just because it feels slightly too magical, but maybe we could try to figure out how many results would be changed in say a U-Report poll if we did that.

I think my bias is that this is disabled by default but that perhaps we allow it as an advanced setting on the rules dialog. Surfacing that feature with some verbiage on how it works would also train people of its existence. They don't necessarily understand how edit distance works as a function of word length, but don't think they really need to.

Am leaning toward remove it. Seems possible only a few users are aware that it is happening and I wonder if we've ever wrongly routed a contact based on a fuzzy match... e.g. 'exit' vs 'edit', 'stop' vs 'shop'
