Yes, I would file an issue in OpenMined's repo. An alternative implementation could be of PSI could be this one https://github.com/Visa-Research/volepsi.

@annabeer thanks for raising the issue!

So the problem really is with openmined.psi library.

Can you open an issue at their repo: https://github.com/OpenMined/PSI/issues ?

Meanwhile we could check if we can find alternatives for this library for M2 chip.
@holgerroth do you know any?

question: does nvflare claim support for m2 silicon? (ie apple noteboook)

@chesterxgchen, @IsaacYangSLA might be able to comment on this one.

@annabeer unfortunately, the openmind.psi doesn't work for Mac OS. You might be able to build from the source for Mac.

@downTheFallLine NVFlare itself should be able to run on m2.
But that is just my assumption, I don't have the apple notebook.

As for external dependencies required for "app_opt" or "examples" or "integration",
for example pytorch, tensorflow, openmined.psi, homomorphic encryption, we just install a specific version of them,
so it is up to those libraries to support m2.

I am not sure we can claim support for Apple Mac. Most of the codes are tested in Ubuntu VM and container, even though some of the codes are developed in mixed of Ubuntu and Mac book. As reuslt, many code works in Apple Mac book, and some of the features are definitely not work in Apple Mac env. such as PSI (which depends openmind.psi), Homomorphic encryption.

Closed as this is not NVFlare issue.
Should keep tracking in the OpenMined's repo.
And as @holgerroth suggested, alternative implementation of PSI could be tried: https://github.com/Visa-Research/volepsi.
