brouter.de is maintained by Arndt and I suppose updating is a manual process right now, so I guess it makes sense to only update in larger release cycles right now.
I'm currently working towards an alpha2 release with the goal to provide all features that the old online demo has, i.e. permalink, custom profile upload and csv download. Hope this will be a matter of days rather than weeks.

Thank you for the clarification! I am looking forward to alpha2, though it is already now a pleasant experience to play around with alpha1.
