The issue is known, but I think it is still being decided if this should be fixed by the clients or the core. It should be fixed relatively soon though since it makes audio somewhat unusable.

Delay should no longer accumulate like this. Note that there will still be a delay of 1/3 of a second. This seems to be an OpenAL issue, so fixing it will require using low level platform-specific audio libraries (I have plans to do this at a later time).
