I would expect 20MB's and few dozens files at best.

Severity 3:
This can include situations where some side effect is observed which does not significantly harm operations.
Many files will hassle the OS indexer and AV. Those applications will create load on the local system which will be interpreted as if we created the load.

We've tested the AV and other indexers, mainly on the agent_storage/ directory, which given enough capacity on the agent grows to a few order of magnitude. There wasn't an effect on the crawlers and indexers...

The actual problem is installation time. Extraction of all npm pacakges takes a long time. Mainly on slow hosts. In dana we had this problem. I never explored possible solutions.
