@barees63 I also have an i7, which does support AVX and I'm also getting core dumped. Have you managed to fix it?

@mvrozanti not yet, I haven't had time.. but interesting that it might not be AVX afterall.

actually all I had to do was compile it on ubuntu and it started working..

clone gpt4all.cpp
make chat

it's comically slow but I expected that ;)
