Thanks! That's in fact the only software I know, where the version is shown in the title bar. 😃
I downloaded SBERT and I removed the old downloads, too. I used the file manager only - not any GPT4ALL-tool. Is there a GPT4ALL tool, I would need to use to avoid internal errors?
I cannot find the SBERT in the download folder.
=> EDIT: I found it now. It's store with the name "all-MiniLM-L6-v2.gguf2.f16.gguf"
Hermes download ist running. => For this one, I can see the ongoing download.
=> EDIT: Download ist finished and I can again work with GPT4ALL.
It runs now...
Thanks

Hi,
Indeed. My old downloads have been in .bin format. The news ones are in .gguf.
Many thanks for your support for me! 👍🙂

I have the same issue on Win11. I did an upgrade from win10 64bit.
I didn't use gpt4all longer time. But on Win10 it worked.
But not anymore.
How can I figure out the installed version of gpt4all? Why is this that hidden? It's even not to be found in the chat.exe's details. But I did an update today. It's from 03.05.2024 15:34.

It's in the title bar, though? I mean the version.
You might have to download a new model if the old version you were using was from quite some time ago.

No, there is not. You did it fine. I'm assuming you were using a previous version which was still using the old file format for models. The switch to a new format was announced back then, I get how that can be confusing now. The new format is much more capable, so hopefully, that won't be necessary again.
