Help with vs studio about prettier-plugin-go-template HOT 3 CLOSED

If someone else also scratches their head getting this to work, here are some notes from me.

The only way I have gotten this to work is to work is to do:

 npm i prettier-plugin-go-template --save-dev

I have tried any combination (including checking the below), but have not found a way to make this work globally, which is really unfortunate (I have many projects ...).

Hi, sounds like you're maybe missing one of the two dependencies?

You'll need to have both installed locally (npm i prettier prettier-plugin-go-template) or globally (`npm i -g prettier prettier-plugin-go-template).

hey - thanks for the help!

i did have prettier-plugin-go-template installed locally through "npm i" but was using the vs studio extension for prettier which didn't pick up the template.

i think what fixed it was installing prettier globally...

maybe add a line in the README for how to work with VS Studio and the prettier extension?
